Attachment-Focused EMDR Training

Master Trainer Deany Laliotis

Attachment-Focused Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (AF-EMDR) addresses the effects of neglect and abuse on a child’s development and how it typically manifests in insecure attachment styles. AF-EMDR focuses on the unresolved painful attachment experiences people have with a parental figure during childhood as well as subsequent significant relationships. AF-EMDR incorporates an understanding that with developmental trauma , the lack of safety and security in childhood leads to maladaptive relationship strategies that can persist into adulthood, ultimately causing significant distress.
